Each month people from the surrounding county and the Portland metro areas gather together to share their lives and food, attend sweatlodge and pray together. From Oklahoma to Nevada to Alabama to Kentucky and now Oregon, Randy has been running sweat as a service among Indigenous people since 1990. Edith and other members of the family now also run sweat. Talking Circles and other get-togethers like Pow Wows, etc. are also often occasions for the Eloheh Community to come together in the Portland Metro area. In addition, every so often, Randy and others share teachings and conduct additional ceremonies. The community is organic, hosted by the Woodleys at Eloheh Farm, with natural service-oriented elders and service-oriented leaders, but nothing is official and no one has a title. Like similar gatherings we help one another when needs arise; we counsel through marriages, divorces, etc., and we help and pray for one another. Maybe you can come by some time? People have attended our sweatlodge from as far away as Africa to New Zealand and Los Angeles to New York City! Everyone is welcome...As a non-profit farm and community, we try to excel in doing good. If you would like to donate so we can continue these good works, we invite you to help. We often need to purchase firewood and other supplies, thanks! Some of the photos below show Eloheh Community members from both the past and the present.
